Few people are able to say that Chatham County is their native home, but Peyton Holland has called Chatham County home for his entire life. Growing up on his family's small farm, he learned the value of hard work and skill through strong rural roots that extend from former generations. As a child, he attended Moncure School and is a proud graduate of Northwood High School. He is married to Kara, who is a graduate of Chatham Central High School. Both Peyton and Kara attended North Carolina State University, where Peyton earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees from the Poole College of Management. Peyton’s passion for family and county runs deep within his heart and soul. Through an outstanding education and a community of strong leaders, he attributes his success to the people in Chatham County who invested in him. Since he was a young boy, he has hoped to have the opportunity to serve our county and provide future generations with opportunities to grow and develop.
Through the skills and experiences he has gained working with industry, education and communities across the country to develop a skilled workforce and transform education, he is ready to help lead Chatham County into the transformative years that lie ahead. Our county has incredible diversity, from its rural agricultural communities to its growing towns and rapidly developing suburbs. It is essential that we take the time to listen to the needs all of those who call Chatham home as we begin making decisions that will impact OUR CHATHAM.
